In 1997, a team of young church planters move to the Toronto area. Their goal was to begin contemporary, growing churches in every major urban centre of Canada by the year 2020. In 2005, Phil & Beth Bryant sensed God leading them to move their family from the GTA to the Lower Mainland. Through an amazing series of events, including the partership of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, a church was launched on September 9, 2007. Community of Hope has grown to become a people who are learning new ways to bring God's love into the Newton area of Surrey and the North Delta Community. Then in the fall of 2008, we launched a Sunday evening ministry for our children (Awana), as well as a ministry to bring hope and healing to those who are broken and hurting (Freedom Session). We are amazed to see God bringing Hope into the Newton and North Delta Communities and we can't wait to see all that He wants to do as Hope continues to grow. |
