Freedom Session

Stand strong…Walk in truth

with Community of Hope Church

Can you remember when you were 10 or 12 years old? What did your dreams look like? Did you always dream of having the life you have right now? Now that you are a grown up, are you living the kind of life that you always thought you would? Most of us would admit that we are not living up to the dreams that we had for ourselves when we were kids. None of us wanted to suffer some of the painful things that our bad choices sometimes brought. Some of us have made a real mess of things, but we want you to know . . .

there is hope!

freedomJesus said that He came to earth so that you "may have life and have it to the full." (John 10:10b) Freedom Session is a program which teaches you how to process the difficult or seemingly impossible parts of your life in a way that honours God. When you learn to live this way, you WILL experience freedom from the painful things in your life that have kept you down for years. This is not a promise that comes from us, but from God Himself. He says that He will…

"...provide for those who grieve in Zion-to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor."

Isaiah 61:3

Come and join the adventure.  You are worth it!

Who is Freedom Session for?

Anyone can benefit from Freedom Session. People with advanced degrees, church leaders, stay-at-home moms, married couples, single parents, and many others have benefitted from it. It is for people who struggle with life.

What is the program about?

Freedom Session is a program based on the twelve steps used by many other recovery groups. These twelve steps have their origins in the Bible, and while they certainly do work for those who struggle with alcohol and drugs, we have learned from experience that they work for those who struggle with many other types of challenges as well. They also work for those who struggle with saying "no", having healthy boundaries, or being a "people pleaser".

How is Freedom Session different from other recovery organizations like Alcoholics Anonymous?

Freedom Session relies completely on the power of Jesus Christ to heal us. We believe that there is no one more capable or more willing to help us, and we would like to help you experience His love in a way that is real, concrete and tangible.

Where and when do you meet?

We meet at Community of Hope offices at 11966 64th Avenue in Delta (just on the border of Surrey) on Sunday evenings from 4:30pm to 7:00pm.

How much does it cost?

The course is free. However, you will need to buy the workbook materials as we go through the course. Your first book is $20 and will last you until about December. There are three books in total to complete the course.

How do I register?
